Grants
Our community grants scheme, launched in 2023, aims to work with a wide range of grass root and community organisations to enable passionate people to run projects and initiatives that help us to deliver at least one of our three aims: Supporting People, Enhancing Landscapes & Protecting wildlife.
Available Grants
Our grants support the creation of new woodlands, hedgerow and landscape trees in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Forest of Bowland National Landscape and Nidderdale National Landscape.
Project grants help to fund specific projects and pay for things like the restoration and creation of habitat for nature or opportunities for underrepresented groups to access the Dales.
Supporting Orin with a £1,000 Grant to run a bioblitz event?
11 year old Orin had a dream to make a BioBlitz event more attractive to young people and the grant we awarded him enabled him to buy materials for nature themed craft activities and surveying equipment, which is still being used by local schools.

None of our work would be possible without support from businesses of all shapes and sizes who play a huge role in helping us deliver big things for people, landscape and wildlife.
Work-based training programmes that give young people the chance to develop their skills and get experience with employers in and around the Yorkshire Dales.
Toolkits and educational videos to help inspire children to explore the Dales, educate them on wildlife and the surrounding landscapes and to live their own Green Futures.
